R.E.A.L. Junior Enterprise
On Wednesday June 26th, a team of learners from R.E.A.L. Independent School took part in the Mansfield & Ashfield 2020 Junior Enterprise Competition in Mansfield Market.
The aim of the challenge was for the learners to develop an understanding of how to set up a small business enterprise to sell a product, including taking into account the costs and responsibilities involved.
The team of six learners prepared for weeks developing their ‘Grab and Go’ activity boxes product to sell on the day. The activity boxes were filled with fun things to do at home or in the car on long journeys – ideal for young children.
By the end of the day the team had sold all 56 of their ‘Grab and Go’ boxes, making a fantastic profit of £158!
Stacey Edwards, Key Stage 2 and 3 Curriculum Improvement Lead at R.E.A.L. Education said: “The team did really well – It’s such an achievement for them to sell all of their boxes! I was especially impressed with their confidence and communication skills when interacting with the public.”
The results will be announced at a ceremony later this month.
