R.E.A.L. Results

Huge congratulations to all learners at R.E.A.L. Education who took exams and completed qualifications at the end of last term.

100% of R.E.A.L. Independent School (RIS) learners, on academic pathways, have achieved accredited outcomes across an ever expanding and broad curriculum offer. This year we have seen an increased number of learners achieving accreditation across 5 or more different subject areas. All of our learners have moved on to positive destinations this academic year and we wish them well.

91% of Year 11 learners achieved qualifications in both maths and English at their expected level or above. This is an increase on last academic year.

55% of year 11 learners achieved at least 1 or more GCSE qualifications at the highest grades of 4 – 9 or Level 2 equivalent qualifications in a range of academic and vocational subjects.

36% of Year 11 learners achieved Grade 4 or above (Level 2 equivalent) in maths and or English. This is above what is achieved nationally for a similar cohort (learners with special educational needs or working within alternative provision). This demonstrates that as a school we are closing the gap and supporting our learners to achieve in line with national expectations. The SLT would like to thank the dedicated staff team who continue to have high expectations for all our learners to achieve their full potential.

RIS learners also produced some outstanding achievements at GCSE Grades 1- 3, Level 1 and entry level in maths, English, ICT, personal, social and health education, science and also within vocational areas such as food technology, mechanics and construction. All of these qualifications contribute to building the confidence and self esteem of pupils and fully support learners to prepare for their individual future goals

A large proportion of our learners will now have the minimum Entry level 3 qualifications that, alongside an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), will enable them to get onto an apprenticeship or traineeship if that is the pathway they choose.

The RIS Leadership Team would also like to extend their congratulations to the successes of our Post 16 learners this academic year. Our R.E.A.L. Independent School Post 16 programme enables those learners to continue their learning journey at their own pace; alongside developing their social and employability skills to prepare them to transition to independence, college, training or employment when they are ready.
