Sad Loss of a Wonderful Colleague
It is with much sadness that we inform you of the loss of one of our team members, Tony Hussain, who passed away on Thursday 18th February 2021.
Tony worked for R.E.A.L. as a teaching assistant based in Nottingham City. Tony brought 25 years of experience working with challenging young people who are at risk of exclusion, temporarily or permanently excluded, school refusers, young offenders, those with emotional or behavioural difficulties, SEN and SEMH.
Nicola Green-Wright, Tony’s Line Manager, said: “I know that I speak on behalf of all of the REAL Team when I share our sadness at the sudden passing of Tony Hussain. Although Tony joined the team fairly recently, he had already begun to build some firm foundations with our young people.
“Tony had a great sense of humour and could raise a smile easily, he was extremely responsive to the young people in his care, exuding a calm, jolly exterior with the ability to encourage and nurture our young people. He will be sorely missed by all and we will be forever grateful that we were able to welcome him, even for such a short time, into the REAL Education Team.”
We offer our heartfelt condolences to Tony’s family at this difficult time.
